If your plants are looking wilted in the mid day sun light just leave them be untill later evening. All that water during the middle of the day is just magnifying the sun. Expert village and their 138,000 videos suck.

Sam , Farmer ben , I agree the advise given here is incorrect never water overhead and preferably drip line, mulch, mulch and more mulch.Kind Regards

  3. FarmerBenny says:

All that water mist will just evaporate. Instead try a thick layer of mulch to retain moisture, with a drip line above. I find these methods in the video to be inefficient.

@samljer ..I know.. what’s up with that? I just watched an expertvillage vid that was basically the polar opposite of this vid. One says STOP all the over watering, then this one waters in the heat of the day and directly on the plants…glad they weren’t my

    What the..???
Where does he live..or maybe where does he think we, or at least me, live?
I just came in from my garden, it’s 94 degrees outside, if I would have “misted” my plants like he just did, they would be burnt to hell.
I did exactly that when not paying attn when hosing off the back deck – Totally toasted one of my favorite plants, and winged another

ooh, noo , dont spray water when its hot and sunny, you will burn those creatures, you have to do it at night or early in the morning when its not hot or sunny

Yup, sounds like drip to me. I just wondered if anybody has any better ideas than that, as I haven’t seen it much outside Australia.

i rigged up a small scale irrigator by plugging the end of a garden hose an drilling little holes along its length . just lay the hose down on the soil an turn on the tap. Like the dude in the vid says , you wanna keep the water OFF the plants if you can.

  15. LaminatedGardenGuide says:

Be careful not to over water your vegetable garden – that’s one of the most common mistakes made by first time gardeners!

  16. mercofspeech says:

    How about drip irrigation?

  17. jakescollectibles says:

Where can I find a watering can like yours? I have been looking for one with the spout facing up but can’t find one in my area.
    Thanks for the great info.
