Lowes employees rolled up their sleeves and gave four hours of their time and donated supplies recently to build a raised vegetable bed garden to help with the food supply at Chattanooga Ronald McDonald House. Ronald McDonald House Charities provides a home away from home and its special brand of hospitality for up to 600 families each year. The raised bed garden located on the back lawn of the Ronald McDonald House will help stock the kitchen and provide fresh vegetables such as cucumbers, tomatoes, squash, radishes, zucchini and leaf lettuce for daily dinners for the families at Ronald McDonald House. Volunteers prepare nightly meals for up to 50 people as part of the organizations Adopt a Meal program.
